New Era in Health: TİTCK Launches AI-Supported e-Audit System
Global health news > New Era in Health: TİTCK Launches AI-Supported e-Audit SystemAs part of the transformation in healthcare, the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) is set to launch an AI-supported electronic audit (e-Audit) system. This system complements existing initiatives like the Electronic Prescription System (REÇETEM), the Drug Tracking System (İTS), and the Product Tracking System (ÜTS), enabling individual tracking of drugs and medical devices.
The e-Audit system aims to enhance regulatory and oversight activities for a range of products, including medicinal products, medical devices, special dietary foods, biocidal, and cosmetic products.
The system will streamline processes, minimize manual operations for time-saving, and enable quicker inspections, allowing for prompt action against potential public health risks.
More Effective and Efficient Audit Processes with AI
The e-Audit system, set to begin testing in the coming months, will automate routine inspection tasks with AI, allowing inspectors to focus on complex strategic duties. This shift will enable a more effective, efficient, and reliable auditing process.
Thanks to AI's learning ability, errors will be detected earlier, and potential issues can be rapidly addressed. The system will facilitate the analysis of collected data electronically, making it quicker to identify trends, anomalies, and potential problems.
Integration with Drug Tracking System and e-Nabız
The e-Audit system will also allow inspectors to access data from anywhere. Inspection results and timelines can be monitored in real-time, and remote evaluations will be possible.
The system supports continuous monitoring and rapid intervention in drugs and devices and can be integrated into mobile platforms. Moreover, it aims to reduce paper use and achieve cost savings.
Plans for the AI-supported e-Audit system include integration with REÇETEM, İTS, ÜTS, Electronic Process Management System, and e-Nabız. Additionally, software for the system will incorporate top-notch security measures for data protection, privacy, and defense against cyber threats.
